At R. McMahon Watchmakers, we bring world-class vintage watch repair, service and restoration expertise to Adelaide and South Australia. Our workshop is led by Richard McMahon, an independent Master Watchmaker with over 35 years of professional horological experience and recognised European restoration credentials. Richard has been officially referred complex restoration work by prestigious houses including Rolex, Cartier, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Breitling during his time in London, and now applies these high standards to every vintage and luxury timepiece entrusted to our Adelaide workshop.
We specialise in comprehensive mechanical watch servicing and sympathetic restoration for high-end brands such as Breitling, Cartier, Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constantin, as well as vintage Rolex and Omega. Our approach preserves the heritage and functionality of historic watches using traditional Swiss-inspired techniques, meticulous diagnostics and precision craftsmanship. Where original components are no longer available, we manufacture discontinued parts in-house to ensure historically correct restoration.
Based in the Tonsley Innovation District, our fully equipped Adelaide workshop combines traditional horological tools with modern micro-machining equipment, enabling detailed servicing, overhaul and restoration that most standard repair centres cannot undertake. Every service and restoration is carried out personally by Richard McMahon to exacting standards.
To reflect the quality and depth of work performed, an industry-standard minimum service charge of $950 applies for full servicing and restoration of luxury mechanical watches.
